Alerts for new accounts being created

This article is for NSO Summit Admins and describes how a new athlete is created in the AMS and when they are alerted to this fact. Some of this happens outside the AMS via email/text.

New TAPS athletes Process to register

NSO and HPSNZ

If a new TAPS athlete is confirmed via HPSNZ's process with the sport the following steps happen outside the Summit Platform

  2. HPSNZ Investment Team send TAPS registration form to athlete

  3. Athlete completes TAPS registration requirements and submits form

  4. HPSNZ Investment Team process form and confirm athlete as TAPS athlete

  5. Summit Support team are notified of new TAPS athlete

AMS Support team role

  1. Receive notification of a new athlete

  2. Create a new athlete account in Summit

  3. Confirm with Sport Athlete | Coach connection (via email)

  4. Create new coach account if required

  5. Match athlete and coach in Summit

  6. Send email to NSO Summit Admin once above process completed

NSO Summit Admin role

  1. Receive notification from Summit Support Team

  2. Connect support team to athlete

  3. Provide onboarding and training support based on sport needs and process

New Coach

A new coach will be created by the Summit Support team but only after receiving confirmation from the sport.

When a new TAPS athlete registers through HPSNZ process the athlete can identify anyone as their Coach

However it is up to the Sport to confirm whether that coach should have access to Summit and be connected to that athlete.

Support Team matching to Athlete

NSO Summit Admins will connect athletes to the support team they are working with. This will occur after the athlete account has been created in Summit.

This allows sports to identify who the support people are working with athletes in their sports, which is especially useful if there are multiple providers in a discipline spread across a sport.
