Setting up user Authentication

This article will walk users through the process of setting up multi factor authentication via an authenticator app

When logging in for the first time you will be asked to secure your account by setting up multifactor authentication (MFA). This is an important step in keeping your account and data safe at all times.

Set up via App

Choose your authenticator app based on your prefernce, download from google play or App Store

  1. Open your Authenticator app (Google or Microsoft Authenticator)

  2. + Add new / Scan QR code in the app
    Scan the QR code that popped up in SUMMIT.
    This will add a new code with your account details

  3. Find this account and look for the 6 digit number that will appear

  4. Type that number in your AMS web screen

  5. Copy and save somewhere the recovery code which will only appear the first time you authenticate

Using Authentication to Log in

To Log in to SUMMIT each time, you will need to enter your user name and password and a code from the Authenticator app.

Once you have entered your user name and password you will be prompted on screen to enter your authenticator code

Open the app and view the 6 digit code on screen (this will change periodically)

Type this code into your screen to complete SUMMIT log in
