This article helps you work out why data from a connected wearable or platform has stopped appearing in Summit, and how to fix it. Work through the checklist below in order before contacting support.
First, Check the Common Causes
Wait for the next sync. Some providers only send data at set intervals, not the moment you finish an activity. A recent session can take time to appear, so give it until the next sync window before assuming a fault. Note: if older data is present and only your most recent activity is missing, this is the most likely cause.
Check for a provider outage. The wearable provider's own service may be down. Check the provider's status page or app. Note: if the provider is down, reconnecting on your side will not help. Wait until their service is restored.
Confirm you connected the right account. Make sure the account you authorised is your usual account with that provider, not a second or older one. Data only flows from the exact account you connected.
Reconnect the Platform
If the checks above do not fix it, the authorisation may have expired or been revoked, or the wrong data types may have been shared. Reconnecting resolves both.
Go to My Connected Apps.
In the Connected section, find the platform, then select Disconnect.
Confirm on the Disconnect App prompt.
In the Available to Connect section, find the same platform and select Connect App.
Select Authorise and sign in to the provider.
When asked, allow the data types Summit needs. If the wrong data was shared last time, correct it here.
Wait for the confirmation that your account is connected.
Still Not Working?
Contact support if data has still not appeared by the next sync window after reconnecting, or if you cannot complete the authorisation step. Include the platform name, your athlete name, and roughly when data last synced [confirm where the last sync time is shown]. Note: detailed per-metric sync diagnostics are not available in first release.
