Edit an Athlete Profile
For administrators and coaches: You can open an athlete profile, edit the identity and demographic details, and save changes that flow through Summit.
This article helps you open an athlete profile and update their identity and demographic details in Summit. A profile holds the athlete's name, sex, date of birth, country, primary sport, and status.
Before You Start
Editing a profile is access controlled, so not every user can make changes. You need administrator rights or a role authorised to edit athletes.
If you cannot see an edit option, your account does not have permission. Ask your organisation's Summit Administrator to grant it.
Open an Athlete Profile
Navigate to the athlete module of Summit from left hand navigation
Find the athlete you want. Use the search or filters to narrow the list.
Select the athlete's name to open their profile.
Edit Demographic Fields
On the profile, select EDIT to make the fields editable.
Update the details you need to change:
First name and last name.
Sex.
Date of birth.
Primary sport.
Country.
Status. (you cannot change an athlete to HPSNZ supported as this is managed by HPSNZ)
Enter each value carefully. Some fields, such as date of birth, must be exact because they are used elsewhere in the system.
Notes:
Sex records biological sex and offers a fixed set of values.
Country will show country name and a 3 letter code.
Primary sport and status are chosen from set lists, so you cannot type a free text value.
Note: Some profiles are linked to an external source - for example HPSNZ Supported athletes cannot have profile information changed in Summit, as this is modified by HPSNZ in their CRM tool
Save Your Changes
When your edits are complete, select SAVE CHANGES to save the profile.
Check that the updated values appear correctly after saving.
Note: Profile details flow into other parts of Summit, including groups, teams, and reporting. Make sure every change is accurate, because an error here can carry through to those areas.
